Welcome to my blog!

Mikael Myggen
January 3, 2020

Hello, my name is Mikael Myggen. I am the founder of Sunspot Media, and I just wanted to make a quick little introductory post here before I start pumping out content. I myself am a Santa Barbara local, but I don’t only work with those native to the Santa Barbara area.

Being in the field I am in, I’m able to do business with people out of state, as well as those within my local vicinity. Local work allows me to be face-to-face with my clients which is something I always value, although there’s something to be said for the convenience of being able to work with a client from hundreds of miles away, both for my sake and theirs.

I’m going to be blogging about a variety of topics, but mostly I am going to keep it focused on things my company specializes in, which would be web design, web hosting, search engine optimization (SEO), some of the best business practices for getting noticed, lead generation, maintaining your business, et cetera.

At least, that’s the current game plan for this blog anyways, and while things are always subject to change I don’t expect my content to go THAT far off the radar.

I plan on keeping things mostly professional and informational here, but I also want to make sure that we can have fun. (I’m saying “we” because I’m making a blind assumption that someone besides a google robot is reading this post. You are human, right? Please say yes). But seriously, please tell me if you think my content is too dry or if you think there’s something else I could be writing about. My comments section is open and I’m always willing to listen to suggestions. You can also contact me through our dedicated Contact Us page if you like.

As the founder of Sunspot Media, and the main guy operating this blog, I’m planning on authoring these posts myself for the time being, although I am open to the idea of having more writers than just myself. At least for the beginning I’m planning on writing all the content myself, which is something I’m perfectly okay with. I do enjoy writing and being helpful, so it’s not like making posts like these is terribly difficult.

Generally, I want this to be a place where I can offer some wisdom and advice for people who are looking to learn more about internet marketing, web design, site management, things that you would look towards a digital media agency for help with. These topics can often be really confusing due to how deep some of this information goes, along with the fact that, on the internet, things are constantly changing, so I’m going to do my best to break down anything and everything that might be confusing to you.

One last thing, you might be wondering why I’m making blog posts at all. “Is this guy really just giving out content for free for no reason? What’s the catch?” I hear you say. After all, I do have to take time out of my day to make these, these posts don’t just write themselves. Yes, this content is completely free for you to read, and yes, I DO get a tangible benefit out of creating blog posts like these. I’ve actually written a post here on some of the benefits of blogging if you care to read it. Hope to see you soon!

Let us help you out!

If you have any questions or if any of our services sound interesting to you, feel free to send me a message! It won’t take any time out of your day.
